How to Add New Board Configuration of 7750 SR
Generally involves adding new boards when the device is newly built or the hardware is expanded.
Newly added boards mainly refer to IOM boards and MDA cards. Each slot of the 7750 SR chassis supports one IOM board. Each IOM board can insert 2 MDA cards.

- IOM: Input-Output Module, each Input/Output Module (IOM) can have 2 hot-swap MDAs. Each MDA provides 1 or more physical interfaces, such as Ethernet or SONET/SDH interfaces. The MDA passes incoming packets to the flexible fastpath multiplexer for processing. On egress, the MDA processes packets from the flexible fastpath complex and sends them in the correct format to the appropriate physical interface.
- MDA: Media related interface card, providing various physical interfaces for equipment, such as Ethernet, SDH, ATM, etc., there are MDA-a /MDA-axp/MDA-XP /MDA-e
7750 SR-1 equipment supports 2 MDA slots.
7750 SR-7 equipment supports 5 IOM slots and 10 MAD slots.
7750 SR-12 equipment total supports 10 IOM slots and 20 MAD slots.
