Important Note: RG213 vs. LMR-400
- RG213: Uses solid polyethylene dielectric. Good performance, economical, widely available. Slightly higher loss than LMR-400 at UHF.
- LMR-400: Uses foam polyethylene dielectric. Lower loss, better shielding, higher price.
- Recommendation: For HF and VHF (30-150 MHz), RG213 is excellent and saves money. For UHF or 4G/5G (above 400 MHz), LMR-400 is recommended for longer runs to minimize signal loss.
