BTS3900B GSM refers to the BTS3900B model GSM standard indoor macro base station. As a core access device launched for the mobile communication field, it is specifically designed for GSM networks and can stably provide voice, SMS, and basic data transmission services. I. Core Hardware & Performance Parameters

(1) Basic Configuration

It inherits the compact cabinet design of the BTS3900 series, with typical dimensions of 900mm×600mm×450mm. The weight of the empty cabinet is ≤45kg, and the fully configured weight (including 1 BBU, 6 RF modules, etc.) is ≤135kg, effectively saving equipment room installation space. The hardware core consists of a Baseband Processing Unit (BBU) and RF modules. A single cabinet can accommodate up to 2 BBU3900 baseband units and 6 RF modules, supporting a maximum of 12 GSM-R carriers, which can fully meet the network capacity requirements of medium-to-high density areas.

(2) RF & Signal Performance

It supports mainstream GSM frequency bands such as EGSM (880-915MHz) and ER-GSM (873-880MHz). The transmit power is configured according to different frequency bands: for example, the 918-925MHz band can reach 2×60W, and the 925-960MHz band can reach 2×80W. It exhibits excellent receiving sensitivity: approximately -112.5dBm to -113.4dBm for single-antenna reception, and as low as -115.5dBm to -116.4dBm for dual-antenna reception. This significantly enhances weak signal receiving capability and improves network coverage quality.

(3) Power Supply Specifications

It adopts -48V DC power supply, with a voltage adaptation range of -38.4V to -57V, complying with general power supply standards for communication equipment and adapting to the stable power supply environment of equipment rooms.

II. Core Functions & Advantages

(1) High Integration & Low Power Consumption

The RF module adopts an integrated design of duplexer and TRU (Transceiver Unit), greatly improving the integration of RF components and reducing equipment redundancy. Meanwhile, it supports energy-saving functions such as software-controlled board power-on/off and RF channel shutdown, which can dynamically adjust power according to network service load, reducing energy consumption costs during operation and aligning with the concept of green communication.

(2) Compatibility & Evolvability

Although focusing on the GSM standard, it is compatible with same-series communication equipment and reserves the capability of smooth evolution to LTE networks. Operators do not need to carry out large-scale transformations of the equipment room architecture; through software upgrades and module adjustments, they can adapt to subsequent network upgrade needs, reducing investment in duplicate construction.

(3) High Reliability

The equipment has undergone rigorous environmental adaptability tests, enabling it to adapt to common working conditions such as temperature changes in equipment rooms and possess stable continuous operation capability. Its standardized hardware interfaces and modular design also facilitate quick replacement of faulty components during operation and maintenance, shortening network downtime.
