This EZ1641A MON-OTDR card integrates Optical Time Domain Reflectometry monitoring function for DWDM fiber spans. It monitors fiber loss events, detects breaks and measures fiber link signatures while the customer traffic remains active. Front panel SIG IN / OUT optical ports connect inline with the line port of paired amplifier cards for continuous fiber health surveillance across metro and long-haul DWDM networks.
