Усовершенствованный подключаемый модуль малого форм-фактора (SFP+) — это улучшенная версия SFP, поддерживающая скорость передачи данных до 16 Гбит/с. SFP+ поддерживает 8 Гбит/с Fibre Channel, 10 Gigabit Ethernet и стандарт оптической транспортной сети OTU2. Это популярный отраслевой формат, поддерживаемый многими поставщиками сетевых компонентов. Хотя стандарт SFP+ не содержит упоминания о Fibre Channel 16 Гбит/с, его можно использовать на этой скорости.
