1. Overview: Nokia 7750 SR Modular Architecture
The Nokia 7750 SR (Service Router) is a carrier-class IP/MPLS service routing platform, originally developed by Alcatel-Lucent and now part of the Nokia portfolio. Hierarchical structure: Chassis → IOM Main Card → MDA Sub-Card → Optical/Electrical Ports. Each full-height IOM can host up to two half-height MDA sub-cards. By swapping MDAs, users can flexibly adjust port speed and density without replacing the entire IOM board — significantly reducing network upgrade costs and spare parts inventory.
